Autumn is here and the weather has cooled. It is the time of year that holiday ideas start sparking in the mind. Last year my family and I decided to head off Hatteras Island to Roanoke Island to walk through the lights at The Elizabethan Gardens in Manteo, NC.
It was a peaceful quiet walk through the chill of the night from lights to lights. All done with different styles. Marshmallows were provided at the bonfire and hot chocolate inside one of the museum buildings. I have to say that my favorite part was Santa. A Saint Nicholas right from the Old World to visit and take pictures with.
If you’re visiting the Outer Banks during the holidays a night visit to The Elizabethan Gardens is a must.
