Lead Me Home

Lord, lead me home,
kneeling before Your glorious throne.

Each step I take,
lead me closer to Heaven's gate.

Not concerned of my earthly fate,
but to continuously seek Your face.

With footsteps firmly planted,
I walk this path with my future granted.

Along this path I will have trials,
be persecuted by those in denial.

I know that it is part of Your plan
to lead me in to Your strong hands.

I have no fear, I rest assured,
My home in glory is secured.

I'm here on Earth for just a stint,
to do the will of the One from Whom I'm sent

Each day bringing me closer 
to Your plan approaching its closure.

And when my purpose is finally finished
I will close my eyes with joy undiminished.

I will then take my Savior's hand
as He leads me through His promised land.

And then finally take my rest
in His eternal blessedness.

Lord, lead me home,
