I think Autumn is my favorite time of year. I love how color fills the landscape and how the cool breeze feels after a hot summer. When my oldest were still young kids I took them on a day trip up to The Shenandoah National Park. We snuggled in our jackets and filled a backpack with snacks. This time we took our dog Jessie for a cool Autumn hike. We hit the trail for Hightop Mountain, and we were not disappointed.

After a beautiful hike we took a ride down Skyline Drive to take in a little more Autumn beauty.
