We started out (Ryan, Gloria, and me) from Hatteras Island, NC (20 miles out it the Atlantic Ocean) and are headed west to California for our sons wedding. We made quick time through NC, SC, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana. The roads were not kind to us there. (Louisiana please fix I20 before you kill people if you haven’t already.) Thank you Texas for some much needed easy driving.

Today we are in New Mexico headed to The Petrified Forest National Park in Arizona. Going to take some time to enjoy the park before headed to camp for the night.

We are enjoying the landscape through New Mexico and a little time on historic Route 66.
